Christien Tompkins, Assistant Professor of Anthropology at Rutgers University, will give a lecture titled “The City as Racialized Experiment: Reflections on the Futures of Post-Katrina New Orleans.” Christien is the author of the forthcoming book Reconstructing Race: New Orleans Education Reform as Experimental Labor, an ethnography based on his research on reconstruction as a mode of racialized governance. March 31, 2022, at 4:30 pm.
